I’ve been painting a street market we visited in Xian, China, last year. I enjoy visiting markets at home and when I travel, and I have lots of market photos that I’d like to paint. The Xian market is the most complicated painting I’ve ever done–lots of details, a long depth to represent, and people (!)–the first time I’ve ever painted figures. I’m almost finished. Here are photos I’ve taken of my progress each week.
