I had a lot of fun circling the room and taking photos of everyone in the Wednesday Studio yesterday. Here’s what they were up to.
Lynne Mallonee Schlimm. She’s adding some chickens to the illustrated book she and Anne Shields are working on.
Eileen Leahy. Preliminary sketches of a self-portrait.
Anne Shields completed a pastel of a sunset in Costa Rica.
Linda Norton. Finishing a beautiful watercolor of pink roses. She has worked on this meticulously for several weeks.
Pat Stocks. Rendering a rooster in pastels.
Vince Iannacchione. Preliminary sketch of a statue in Rock Creek Cemetery, to be rendered in carbon pencil over watercolor.
These three photos show the beginning, middle, and end of the watercolor painting that Kay Elsasser completed of a tree in New Orleans.
Fran Tomlinson. Creating a caricature of Trump as Humpty Dumpty.
Tara Hamilton. Painting a street scene in Puerta Vallerta, Mexico.
Linda Andreatta. Pastel of Black Ankle Vineyard, near Mr. Airy in western Maryland.
Marian Wiseman. I was practicing how to paint the woman’s dress in this painting of a market in Paris. I finished the painting. The practice really helped me figure out how to do some things.
So, there you have it. You have gone around the Wednesday Studio with me.

This is very interesting! It would appear that everyone is painting from another painting. Lovely work….

Hi, Kristyn,
Most of them are painting from photographs they have taken.
