Birds take virus precautions for May Draw-a-Bird Day

For May 2020 DAB-Day, most birds demonstrate ways to stay safe.

Fran Tomlinson: DC State Bird, Wood Thrush. Colored pencil and paper towel.
Anne Shields: Cardinal with Natural Mask. Pastel.
Carolyn Rondthaler: Parakeet with Mask. Watercolor.
Tara Hamilton: Puffins Social Distancing. iPad art.
Tom Eichenberger: New Protected Species. Colored pencil.
Pat Evans: Orchard Oriole. Pastel.

This is Pat’s first submission to the monthly DAB-Day fly-in. Truly a beautiful oriole, Pat. Welcome to the Wednesday Studio DAB-Day blog post.

Lynne Mallonee Schlimm: Quarantino Amigos. Pencil, ink, colored pencil.
Nancy Arbuthnot: Common Tern. Collage.
Andrew Armstrong: Memories. Pencil.
Andrew remembers times when we had meals together. The chicken may or may not have been wearing PPE.
Marian Wiseman: Red-Shouldered Hawk with PPE. Watercolor and upholstery remnant.

A very fine flock of birds. Welcome to the covey, Pat. Love your Oriole. Thanks for pulling it all together as always, Marian.

I’ve been waiting for Dab Day. Did the visiting red shouldered hawk inspire you? Where do we send donations to “new Protected Species”? It looks like its asking for help.
