Great variety for March Draw-a-Bird Day

Here are the great birds submitted by artists for March DAB-Day. [Did anyone even notice that the blog did not have a DAB-Day post in February? That’s what I thought. In February I was in Sri Lanka where I saw 20 new-to-me species of birds, including the red-vented bulbul, which I painted for this DAB-Day. M.W.]

Marian Wiseman: Red-Vented Bulbul. Watercolor.
Judith Davis: White-Breasted Nuthatch Perched Sideways. Photography.
Jim Eichenberger: Belted Kingfisher. Watercolor, tempura, and pencil.
Anne Shields: American Purple Gallinule. Pastel.
Andrew Armstrong: Banded Turkey Wren on Nest. Pencil.
Tom Eichenberger: Cape May Warbler. Graphite and colored pencil.
Tara Hamilton: Great Kiskadee. Watercolor.
Carolyn Rondthaler: Northern Cardinal. Watercolor. [Painted from a photograph by Kathy Doremuss of the blog BackyardBirdNerd.com]
Kay Elssasser: Blue Jay. Colored pencil.
