THE WEDNESDAY STUDIO

Watercolor and Pastel Artists at CHAW

Fran Tomlinson work selected for Maryland show

Fran’s stunning pastel Morning Moon over Miami is on exhibit now at the Maryland Federation of Art’s Curve Gallery. With 290 submissions to this exhibition, Fran was among 51 artists selected by juror Adam Davies.

The exhibition, titled “Street Scenes,” runs through March 31.

Here is Fran’s work, which, by the way, also won first place in pastels in the CHAW Adult Student Show in June 2019.

Fran Tomlinson: Morning Moon over Miami. Pastel.

This pastel represents monumental effort, in my opinion. Fran worked on it in the Wednesday Studio for a very long time, so we all got to see it come together. I took a few pictures along the way, and here are some shots of Fran and the work in progress:

Congratulations, Fran!
