This month’s Draw-a-Bird Day theme is the ABCs of birds. If artists chose to do so, they could submit a bird starting with A, B, or C, either in its name or a descriptor. Kay’s bird was the first one submitted, so I’ll start with her brown thrasher.

Jim writes (courtesy of Wikipedia) : “As their name suggests, bee-eaters predominantly eat flying insects, especially bees and wasps, which are caught on the wing from an open perch. The insect’s stinger is removed by repeatedly hitting and rubbing the insect on a hard surface. I chose to execute my submission in the continuous-line method, in keeping with the seeming stream-of-silly-consciousness nature of Monty Python humor. (Also it was quick and super fun!)
