Lots of birds for October Draw-a-Bird Day
Here are the birds for October. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
Always informative, Jim reports that these birds forage in shallow brackish water or on mud flats, often scything their bills from side to side in water (a feeding technique that is unique to avocets). They eat mainly crustaceans and insects.
