THE WEDNESDAY STUDIO

Watercolor and Pastel Artists at CHAW

Capitol Hill Art Walk 2025 was lots of fun

Last week-end was the fourth annual Art Walk sponsored by the Capitol Hill Art League along with some other community organizations, including the Hill Rag, which published a map of all the artist locations.

Six members of the Wednesday Studio were among about 150 artists who displayed their art on sidewalks, fences, parking pads, alleyways, and yards.

Carolyn Rondthaler shared these comments about her experience: “I had a great time doing it, and there was fairly steady traffic. Because I am on a one-way street that is one block long, there was no ‘random’ traffic. People who came had checked it out and were there on purpose, so I did make a lot of sales on both days, mostly cards. I had a LOT of interesting conversations—about art and about the neighborhood.”

These happy customers just bought one of Carolyn’s labyrinth paintings. Looks like her “Hand Labyrinth,” one of my favorites.

I loved wandering from one venue to another on Saturday. THE WEDNESDAY Studio exhibitors did us all proud! Congratulations to you all.
