I love seeing an exhibit including art created by my Wednesday Studio comrades. I knew that four of them had work accepted for a juried show sponsored by the Capitol Hill Art League (CHAL), so I asked them to pose by their work so I could post it here on our blog.
CHAL invited submissions of work in all media, and the juror was Alan Braley. The show, hanging at the Hill Center at the Old Naval Hospital, features 35 artists. The exhibit closes February 28, 2016, at 9 pm.
Wan Lee, between watercolors “Wonder in the Mist” and “Come October.” He has a third watercolor in the show, “Heading Home.”
Anne Shields, next to her pastel, “Odette/Odile.”
Linda Norton has four pastels on sanded board in the exhibit. At right is “Cafe Rouge” and at left is “Fog Lifting.” The two others are “Afternoon at Moore’s Store” and “Golds are First.”
Tara Hamilton, next to her watercolor “Mountain Summer.” Another watercolor of Tara’s in the show is “Georgetown Evening.”
