Both Linda Norton and Anne Shields had work accepted this month by an art show for members of the Cosmos Club in Washington.
Here’s Linda’s colorful rendering of a Virginia landscape:
“Runion’s Creek,” pastel on sanded paper by Linda Norton, who says, “This creek runs below our mailbox in Broadway, Virginia. It can be practically dry, or a raging torrent, depending on the rainfall.”
Anne told me her subject in the watercolor below is sea grapes in the Turks and Caicos Islands. I had to check on where the Turks and Caicos Islands are. In the Caribbean. Who knew?
Anne Shields: “See Greens,” watercolor.
The show, Club Creations, features art by club members and their spouses and is on display in the Crentz Room.
Congratulations to both Anne and Linda!
