THE WEDNESDAY STUDIO

Watercolor and Pastel Artists at CHAW

DC’s Cosmos Club exhibits work by two Wednesday Studio artists

Both Linda Norton and Anne Shields had work accepted this month by an art show for members of the Cosmos Club in Washington.

Here’s Linda’s colorful rendering of a Virginia landscape:

Runion's Creek, watercolor by Linda Norton, who says, "This creek runs below our mailbox in Broadway, Virginia. It can be practically dry, or a raging torrent, depending on the rainfall.

“Runion’s Creek,” pastel on sanded paper by Linda Norton, who says, “This creek runs below our mailbox in Broadway, Virginia. It can be practically dry, or a raging torrent, depending on the rainfall.”

Anne told me her subject in the watercolor below is sea grapes in the Turks and Caicos Islands. I had to check on where the Turks and Caicos Islands are. In the Caribbean. Who knew?

Anne Shields: Eating Your Greens

Anne Shields: “See Greens,” watercolor.

The show, Club Creations, features art by club members and their spouses and is on display in the Crentz Room.

Congratulations to both Anne and Linda!
