Banners designed by Wednesday Studio Artists to fly on Capitol Hill light poles

The honors keep on coming for Wednesday Studio artists, as Tara Hamilton’s and Linda Norton’s designs were among only four chosen for banners to adorn Capitol Hill streets. The winning banners will be unveiled this Thursday (February 2) at a noon ceremony at the Eastern Market Metro Plaza.

The Capitol Hill Business Improvement District chose the four designs shown above from many submitted in response to its call for banners expressing the theme “It’s All Here On the Hill.”

The banners will hang on 100 light poles on Capitol Hill’s main streets. Please come by and support our artists on February 2; the plaza is on Pennsylvania Ave. SE, between 7th and 8th Streets SE.

Watch for a blog post on the ceremony and the banners on display along the streets of Capitol Hill!
