Iona Senior Services regularly hosts “Lunch and Learn” programs, where all are welcome to come for a free lunch and learn some art techniques from the artist in residence. These days, the “artist in residence” is the Wednesday Studio, and today’s topic was watercolor.
Each Lunch and Learn attendee was given a drawing of a sunflower to paint. Ellen Cornett explained some basic watercolor techniques, while Lynne Mallonee Schlimm demonstrated. Wednesday Studio watercolorists spread out among the tables to answer questions and provide any guidance requested.
I can report that at my table there were no questions, and my tablemates produced some great work.
