Lynne Mallonee Schlimm captures the essence of her dog, Hershey, in watercolor

Editor’s note: In this post, Lynne shares some studies and early versions of her painting of her dog, Hershey. The final version, Yellow Ball, is currently part of the show “Summer Work” at the CHAW Gallery, 545 7th Street, SE, Washington, DC.

I thought this photograph really caught the essence of Hershey, and this is the one I painted.
