Linda Norton works featured at Hill Center Galleries
About 20 watercolor and pastel works of art by Wednesday Studio member Linda Norton are on display at Washington DC’s Hill Center Galleries, 921 Pennsylvania Avenue, SE.
Linda calls her show “Global Dreams,” noting that her pieces represent places she has visited. Travel has been an important aspect of Linda’s life, since she was a child taking car trips with her family. She and her husband continued that tradition. “As our two sons got old enough, we had great adventures in places like Indonesia and Australia.”
Linda often paints places and scenes from her trips. “I always take my compact travel art supplies so that I can draw and paint in preparation for paintings when I arrive home.”
Linda’s works will be on display at the Hill Center through February 1. Join her at the opening reception Monday evening, December 9, from 5:30 to 8:30. Below is a sampling of some of Linda’s paintings in the show.
