THE WEDNESDAY STUDIO

Watercolor and Pastel Artists at CHAW

Linda Norton keeps the hits coming this summer.

Here are some beautiful pieces that Linda Norton has created this summer.

This first one is a scene in the Eastern Market neighborhood that we here on Capitol Hill are all familiar with. Linda noted that she still thinks of that corner restaurant as Bread and Chocolate, which is what it was when I moved here two decades ago. It’s now Le Pain Quotidien (and has been for a number of years). But we all loved Bread and Chocolate.

Linda Norton: Busy Corner. Watercolor and pen.

The other works shown below are from scenes in Maine and Virginia–you can decide which are which.

Linda Norton: Rosy Morning. Watercolor, pastel, and pastel pencil.
Linda Norton: Space at the Dock. Watercolor.
Linda Norton: Penobscot Sunrise. Watercolor.
Linda Norton: Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood. Colored pencil.
