Watercolor and Pastel Artists at CHAW

September Draw-a-Bird Day.

This month I told artists there is no theme for DAB-Day. It’s always fun to see what birds people choose to portray. Of course, that’s also true when DAB-Day has a theme, but with no theme there are about 11,000 choices.

A special welcome to new DAB-Day submitter Larry Meinert. We look forward to other bird photography, Larry.

I’ve decided to put this month’s birds in alphabetical order by the artists’ last name.

Susan Burdick: Hummingbird Dance. Watercolor on paper. Susan reports that she has hummingbirds outside the dining room window of her new house, and she and her husband “love to watch them sit and sip — and zip and chase!”
